In celebration of Asian creativity and flourishing imagination in the arts, our April playlist spotlights a vast array of powerful voices. Traveling through different time periods and genres across Asia, our playlist Asian Ayres presents a variety of different vocal and instrumental works, from composers Tan Dun, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Toshio Hosokawa to pop artists HYUKOH and Faye Wong. As we travel through the playlist, we find that this music transcends its cultural context, rendering universal meaning.
