April Spotlight: Cello Student George Johns
George John Johns is 10 years old. He was born is Charleston, South Carolina and now lives just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. George is a reading champion and loves math and chess. He also studies Greek as a second language. He has worked as an actor and a model, and he loves to sing and dance. His favorite sports to play are basketball, lacrosse, football, and soccer. George is an orange belt in karate, and takes hip hop, ballet, and Greek dance classes. His favorite things to do are to have family movie night, play video games with his big brother and have virtual game night with his closest friends.
George wants to be a doctor when he grows up and help people with rare diseases. He has plans to get married and have a family, as well as a parrot, a cat, a dog and a hamster. He would also like to travel to Greece, France, Spain, and Japan. George believes that music is important because it is like a language that all people share, and it helps to express emotions when sometimes one don’t have the right words. He loves the cello especially because it makes deep calming sounds, and because he feels like the music comes straight from his heart when he plays. George is a cello student of Issei Herr.
