Stephanie Zi Yi Yang leads an active international career as a concert pianist, educator, and collaborator. Highly praised by both audiences and the press as a pianist who combines a sensitive musical personality with an exquisite touch and impressive virtuosity, Yang concertizes frequently around the world, in countries such as Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, China, Hong Kong, Macau, the United States, and Canada. As a piano instructor, Yang is committed to creating a warm and nurturing environment for students of all ages, while simultaneously providing a well-rounded musical and arts education. She has given masterclasses in China, Hong Kong, and Macau, and has prepared students for both large and small concert settings as well as national music examinations and competitions. Yang pursued studies at the Eastman School of Music and Mannes School of Music, and currently works closely with Van Cliburn medalist Barry Snyder and Richard Goode, one of today’s revered recitalists. Yang resides in New York City, where she is a frequent featured artist at Columbia University, as well as venues such as Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Steinway Hall, Bohemian National Hall, and National Sawdust.
