As an active concert pianist, collaborator and orchestral pianist, Yifan Shao has performed a wide range of solo and chamber music throughout countries such as China, Germany, Italy, Russia, and the U.S. She often appeared at music halls including Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie and New York City Center.

Yifan have always been passionate about music education. As an educator, She gained a rich experience from teaching both younger and adult private students in China, Germany, Kenya, Russia and the U.S. She works well with students of various temperaments and abilities, focuses on helping students to build on strengths and achieve their studying goals.

Yifan was accepted to the Central Music School (College) of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory at age 15. YiFan received her Bachelor of Music in piano performance from Manhattan School of Music in 2016, where she studied with Dr.Donn-Alexandre Feder and Professor Andre-Michel Schub. In the meantime, Yifan was awarded a full scholarship to attend the Trentino Music Festival and a full Baden-Württemberg Stipendium to the Musikhochschule Stuttgart, Germany. In 2018, Yifan received her Masters of Music degree at Mannes School of Music. Currently, Yifan resides and performs around New York City and pursues a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Stony Brook University, where she received a full scholarship and teaching undergraduate students.
